The Water Horse sim underwent a huge renovation over the past few days, and it’s now open to the public again! It looks a lot better and more professional than it did, with separate buildings for the avatars, riding horses, and animesh horses (coming soon). Plus multiple riding rings and trails to explore. All creators’ shops are now in a big circle instead of streets, which should give everyone equal exposure and be easier to find. Speaking of which, my shop has a new landmark there — come visit and check out the redesign!
For the month of October, I’m participating in the Quest Fur Cover hunt at my main store! The hunt prize is a new body coat titled Tangled Branches, and this time there may or may not be decoys 🙂 I made this one at the same time as the Tangled Flames coat for the Twisted hunt, but with more pastels and less of an inferno. See the complete list of merchant prizes and hints here, and start by visiting store #0!
My hint is: “Oh keeper of magic and rainbows, where are you?”
As you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I’m taking part in the Out Shop Cancer event for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Across Second Life, and have created a Ribbon Pattern Gacha for it!
This gacha consists of 8 patterns/tattoos that all have a subtle awareness ribbon design on the haunches. It was a conscious decision to include colors other than pink, so the patterns will look good on a variety of body coat colors and can be worn year-round!
One thing to note about the gacha vendor: to receive a prize, a donation of $50L (or more) must be made. 100% of all proceeds from this event will go directly to the American Cancer Society. To visit other participating stores, you will need the Out Shop Cancer HUD which is available at the American Cancer Society sim.
Now available at my main store — happy shopping!
Released a new coat yesterday titled Mossy Forest! I was originally going for a wooden rocking horse look, but that morphed into a nature/forest/woodland theme instead. I know it’s not your typical horse coat, but figured someone might like it for roleplaying or Halloween 🙂
I also need to remember to take pictures in brighter lighting than normal. Everything looks great at full size in-world and in Photoshop, but when uploaded to Flickr and the marketplace it seems to lose detail and become a bit muddy.
To get the Halloween season started (along with every store in RL), I’ve released a new pattern/tattoo titled Vampire Bat! This went through a few iterations as I was working on it, as there were points where it was being stubborn and not looking how I envisioned … but, I eventually broke through the “artist’s block” 🙂 I especially like the spikiness of the wing bones paired with the veins within, and how it looks like the inside of the horse from far away!
In main store news, over the weekend I moved a few things around to make room for a holovend demo rezzer! This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while, but it’s very time-consuming to set up as the horse essentially needs to be “put together” for every single item. To make it a little easier, this first rezzer contains body coats only. I plan to make a second one for patterns/tattoos, but still deciding if I need one for smaller things like unicorn horns. To see it in action, teleport over and head up the stairs!
